yes, u will arrive narita on 10th.

If u r from phoenix, AZ, temperature is cooler in tokyo, but it’s much humid there. Therefore, u may feel hotter and more sweat in tokyo. u can check temp. on the wikipedia; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo.
If u r girl, u would be better to bring some skirt and shirt. It’s not cold at all in tokyo in May.

P.S. I am planing to study at ASU from this fall, 2008:) We would contact sometimes if u r interested.

Yeah, you’ll arrive the day after your departure. Nature of the beast.

Looking at your schedule, I would be concerned with your connecting schedule. You have less than 1 hour to de-board your incoming flight and make it on to your connecting flight to Japan. Basically they will be starting to board your international flight at about the time you land in your first flight. Any minor glitch in take off/arrival time of the first portion of your flight, and well, you get the point.

I had that happen once when I flew through LAX for my connecting flight. The first leg took off late and I missed the flight. All my luggage, well, they weren’t sure. It was ‘almost certainly’ on its way to Japan. Of course, I should check with them the next morning to see if it was still at LAX.

Watch that connecting time!!!

Check this International Date Line on Pacific Ocean.

SFO 13:00 Sat.(in DST) means NRT 05:00 and it is that
it takes about 11 hours from SFT to NRT by Jet plane.

You will arrive at Narita on May 10th afternoon and stay the night. Your night of 9th is on flight.

On going back to home, You will depart from Narita on May 19th and also same day to SFO instead.

You must not stay till 20th!!!!!! Don’t misunderstand.

You will stay 9 nights in Japan(10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) only.

You will arrive on May 10 in Tokyo.
You will skip a day going to Japan, and make that up coming back to the US.
On your return trip you will leave on May 19 Japan time, and arrive on May 19(same day) in the USA.

Yep, I recently just flew in to Japan from Narita, and here it’s about a 13 hour difference from Eastern Timezone so even though you’re flying backwards, you’ll more than likely end up here the next day.

So since you’ll be arriving here more than likely on the 10th, you’ll be staying here until the 20th.

By the way, it’s friggen hot here. Expect to wear some light clothing such as shorts and a shirt if you plan on spending a lot of time outside. (and if you’re a girl, expect to wear some skirts and/or shorts with some light shirts)

The distance from Brisbane to Tokyo Narita, Tokyo is 7,148 km, 4,441 miles or 3,857 nm.

The approximate average non-stop flight time from Brisbane to Tokyo is around 9 hour 30 minutes if a direct flight is available, flights with 1 or more stops will have a longer flight time.

Those are some strong headwinds to delay the flight time by 4 hours.

Well Japan Airlines was pretty cheap, but I only took it till NYC, as it was making a stop there. It should be around US$1,600

American airline via NYC would be cheapest according to Japanese web travel agency.

Never go across Europe. It would cost twice or much.
