A few friends and I will be traveling to Tokyo in May of 09. While comparing prices on where to stay and how to fly I have a question. We’re looking at a May 9th departure and a May 19th return. Here is my issue. Depart – Sat 9 May 2009
This flight leaves on Saturday and arrives on Sunday.
Flight Departs: 10:03a
Sky Harbor Intl
Arrives: 12:05p
San Francisco
2h 02m
The above part I have no concerns with, the below however is listed as follows;
This flight leaves on Saturday and arrives on Sunday
Flight Departs: 1:00p
San Francisco
Arrives: 3:55p
Narita
My question is that since there is a point where we will cross timezones into a new day, our check in at the hotel should be on the 10th then correct? Meaning to attain our goal of a 9 night stay, we would need to stay until the 20th? I realize this seems quite simple and it may look as if I have figured this out already but this question is more looking for conformation of this information. Thanks!
In response to the heat issue, I am leaving from Phoenix, AZ, so that should be a minor issue, but what is the weather like in early to mid may?
And in response to the time between flights, this itenerary is not set in stone, just what we’re looking at right now, do you think an option with a longer layover in seattle (2h 43m) instead of just the hour would be better?
i am travelling to japan next year. I used a flight duration tool to find out how long it take to fly from brisbane to japan. for the month of july the computer said it takes around 9 hours from brisbane to tokyo but in august it said it took 13 hours. does anyone know why one flight is longer. is it with the headwinds at that time of year of something else?
Does anyone know of a travel service or agent specializing in flight paths between Brazil and Japan? From Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU) to Narita, Japan (NRT). Can anyone offer some advice on the cheapest way to fly? Should I go over the Atlantic through Europe? Or cross the Pacific?
Can I take pet animals with me on a flight? Are there any regulations? Does anyone know the official website where I can obtain such information? I would also like to know about the regulations for US-Germany.
I want to puchase my son a great flight simulator program for Xmas but I know his laptop will not have enough requirements to make it work well. Can someone please recommend a nice flight simulator software plus let me know the basic computer requirements I would need so I can purchase the hardware upgrades.
It looks like late October will give the cheapest flights at the moment, but we’d like to avoid a busy flight (we will be travelling with a 8 month old), even if it did add a little to the cost
I want a flight simulator game, but I don’t know which one to get. Tell me the difference between both of them and tell me which one I should get.
HI!!! I checked a lot of sites on the internet for cheap flights to Japan but I keep getting really expensive flights and i’ve already gone with a travel agent but everything came out really expensive.
This lady from Vietnam told me Tokyo was too expensive and I should choose somewhere that isn’t so expensive. Is their a city nearby Tokyo that’s just as trendy and out there?!
Does nebody know a good site for cheap flights 2 Tokyo Japan or a nearby city?!
THANX (^-^)
Hello,
I will be attending a private pilots lessons (for VFR) in January and just wondering if playing Microsoft Flight Simulator will give me an edge (I’m thinking about purchasing it). Thank you for your inputs. Also, I’m in the Air Force and have been around aircraft (even flown in several) for the last 6 years.
I was planning to visit Japan in 3 weeks. But given the scared of H1N1 (swine flu) virus, are people being detained at airports if you originate from US or MX?
I am a Mexican National, living in Los Angeles, CA USA. No, I am not sick nor have I traveled to Mexico in the last past 6 months. I travel with Mexican Passport with pride.
Will I be detained and quarantined at Airport? Will I be sent back? Will I be denied entry to Japan? Are flights banned/canceled to and from US/MX.
What are the lated news on travel to Asia or Japan?
Thank you.
